Welcome to the 1st South West Cheshire Scout Group Christmas Tree Recycling scheme.
This eco-friendly fundraising scheme, helps to support local children between the ages of 6 and 14 years old gain skills for life.
This scheme has now been running for a number of years providing a valuable service in and around Wistaston, Willaston, Shavington, Gresty, Weston, Wybunbury, Hough, Nantwich and CW2 postcodes in Crewe. All collected trees are taken to a local scout campsite, chipped and used to improve the site.
Subject to any Covid-19 restrictions that might be in force in January, it is our intention to continue this year with the collection and recycling scheme. In the event that collections need to be cancelled due to Covid-19 restrctions, all supporters will be contacted via the details provided during the booking process by the 6th January at the latest.
To minimise any risk of infection for both our volunteers as well as our supporters, we will be relying on adverts in the local press, Village Link and online advertising via social media to publicise our service this year, avoiding the need to deliver paper leaflets. During the collection process, our teams will operate safely and in accordance with all government guidelines for social distancing and sanitisation. Each of our collection vehicles will be operated only be members of the same household. If you have any questions or would like further information regarding our Covid-19 precautions, then please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can use this website to register your Christmas trees for collection up until 6pm on Friday 8th January 2021. Trees will be collected by a team of volunteers during the day on Saturday 9th January 2021.
